How would you describe Wright’s relationship to sound? How does he want it to function in his films? A movie that is driven by sound, it’s the lightning in a bottle that you very rarely get to be involved with. When I read the script-and heard the script, as it were-that was the point when I was totally excited to get involved, just because I knew that it was possibly a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Then, he sent me the script, and as you turned each page, the corresponding piece of music played, and even some temp sound effects.
